Principal’s Welcome

Principal’s Welcome

Thank you for your interest in Endeavour Christian College. This year we are a P-11 school growing to be a P-12 school at the start of 2018. We are in our sixth year of operations.

We recognise that parents are the primary educators of children and we look forward to partnering with you.

We provide a comprehensive, relevant and purposeful education within a Christian ethos. It is our desire that graduating students from Endeavour Christian College know the love of God in Jesus Christ, and possess relevant learning and skills foundational for their lives as adults.

We have a young, energetic and dedicated group of Christian teachers. They are committed to both building positive relationships with you and your child, and to providing the best possible teaching and learning environment.

I welcome your inquiry and look forward to sharing the next stage of your child’s journey with you.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD SHOE BOX APPEAL!!! Dear Families, Firstly I would like to thank all the families and community members who helped contribute to the Operation Christmas Child Shoes box appeal last year. It was a real success and as a whole school community we were able to send off over 25 filled shoe boxes to less fortunate children. The students and school community really enjoyed the opportunity to learn about other cultures and people who are less fortunate than us here in Australia. After last year’s amazing response of donations from the Endeavour Christian College community we helped to contribute to over 11 million shoeboxes that were packed and distributed around the world and opened on Christmas day. We have decided to once again support the Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box Appeal. For those who are new to our College community and have not heard of Operation Christmas Child run by Samaritan’s Purse, it is an organization that uses gift-filled shoeboxes to share God’s love with impoverished children in a practical way. Since 1993, Samaritan’s Purse has delivered more than 130 million gift-filled shoeboxes to children in over 150 countries. Operation Christmas Childbrings joy and hope to impoverished children around the world. It will most likely be the first gift these children will ever receive. We are aiming for each class to fill two boxes each: one each for a girl and a boy of their age. We are once again writing to ask for your support. You will see on the attached pamphlet examples of items that are suitable. You may, as a family, like to fill a box for a child of your choice – please contact the school office if you would like a box of your own. Our deadline is Friday 6 October. If you are unable to include a small gift perhaps you could consider paying $10 to cover the cost of posting the box? The Friday 6 October deadline is so that we can deliver the boxes to Cairns so that the boxes will make it in time for Christmas. For more information, please refer to the information sheet and flyer attached, or contact the College office. Kind regards Miss Catherine McIntyre
